New England Family Home - Scheme Design Proposal

When it comes to refurbishing a listed property to create your forever home, having a clear vision is essential. For this project, the client wanted to bring a touch of New England style to Edinburgh, blending modern design with classic elegance, all with a unique twist.

We began by focusing on the vestibule, hall, family lounge, and library, using high-quality finishes that create a seamless flow throughout the spaces.

In the vestibule, hall, and lounge, we used light, natural, and earthy tones, paired with charcoal and brass accents for a modern edge. Wall panelling and custom-painted cabinetry are complemented by graphic prints, leather details, and contemporary light fixtures. In the drawing room, we introduced a deep inky blue for the walls and cabinetry, along with claret accents for added warmth and sophistication. Throughout the ground floor, wide plank light oak flooring and dark-painted doors, frames, and architraves unify the design, tying each space together beautifully.
